What is beautiful to you?
There was an interesting ad campaign by a fashion blog and the focus of the campaign is: What is beautiful to you?
I have been reading all the comments and answers of different ones and it is inspiring to know how each of us define ‘beauty’, and that ‘beauty’ is not about physical appearance or the material. Infact, this question keeps me thinking all day. I simply can’t pinpoint one answer to it.
‘What is beautiful’ reminds me of a dear friend I have across the miles. She’s one person who always believes in others, never fails to encourage, constantly giving and never expecting anything in return. Her humility shines clear in her highly professional career. She inspires me.
Whenever I look into my son’s eyes, I behold beauty beyond words. Life and creation is beautiful. He snuggles onto our bed every morning at 5am, waiting to be cuddled and nursed by me – that is such a beautiful moment for us. I begin to realise that I am not ready to wean him off totally because of this beautiful moment we shared.
Beholding sunset with my husband and playing sand together with our son during our family holiday is beautiful. We laughed, we talked, we ate, we joked, we fought…. these are beautiful moments that linger and make me smile.
Then I remember my mother’s smile, the unspoken support of my brother and the love of many friends around me – these are all beautiful.
Finally, no beauty can be compared to the Creator, the Master, the Maker – He is simply beautiful beyond description, too marvelous for words, too wonderful for comprehension, like nothing ever seen or heard.
