What Is Lidocaine Viscious
I wonder if there are many husband-wife businesses out there? I started working with my husband 6 years ago when he decided to venture into a restaurant business. At that time, I was still doing some part-time lecturing in a design school. Then, I stepped in to help when things won’t looking good for him. That was how this working relationship began.
For those of you who work with your spouses, you will agree with me that it is simply not a bed of roses. In fact, it can be challenging and often times, frustrating. After we ended the restaurant business (we knew it was coming) we became working partners again in our current seminar business.
I do think it is a blessing that we can share this business together. There are many days of tears, pain and arguments but there are also the joy of sharing our troubles together and bearing each other’s burdens. We are both quite different in our focus and our style of conducting business. Our differences in personalities play a big part as well. My husband is a planner and thinker and I’m more a doer. He looks at the overall picture and I’m the detailed one.
Moving into our 5th year in this seminar business, we are thankful that we did not quit on each other. We almost did that on many occasions but I am glad none of us truly did.
Is your life partner also your working partner? How is it like for you? I’d like to hear your stories.

That is wonderful that you two have found the formula that allows you to work together. My husband and I are not a good match for working together. Luckily he only telecommutes once in a while.

January 23rd, 2007 at 6:54 amHi Doris,
My husband and I started a business together, and we have been in it for 3 years now. I cannot imagine working with any other business partner. We complement each other very well. He’s in charge of the finance, operations and IT. I look after sales, marketing and PR.
Yes, there are of course disagreements and arguments. But I think the best thing is that you know that his objectives are the same as yours. No conflict of interests.
By the way, cool blog! Found you on MMB forum. You are a Singaporean based in Malaysia. I am a Malaysian based in Singapore.
Will be linking you!
Sincerely,
Violet
Hi Violet, Thanks for dropping by… you reminded me of something: “the best thing is that you know that his objectives are the same as yours. No conflict of interests.” How true is that! Thanks for the link – I’ll do the same. I checked out your blog – you have an interesting profession. Keep in touch! Doris
