  Hi Mommies, Do you have original short stories, poems and articles to share? Creative Mumz Writers Club is launched for this purpose. Let me also introduce the founder of Creative Mumz, Faryal Amir as she shares with us her heart and vision in starting this inspiring network... My name is Faryal Amir and I am the founder and co-ordinator of Creative Mumz. By profession I am a kindergarten teacher, but I took a break to care for my new born baby. Being at home, I felt the need of optimizing my creative energies and interacting with other like minded creative ladies who would like to come together and indulge in activities to enhance their inner strengths. The idea is to find quality time for yourself, to grow as an individual and also give an opportunity to your little ones to interact with other kids. Creative Mumz as the name suggests is a  forum where mums share their creativity with others and learn new skills with an opportunity to meet new people! This is a non-profit group, organised and run by a wonderful group of creative mums residing in Dubai and Sharjah.  We organize presentations, talks and workshops with hands on sessions that help mums to improve their skills, and also nurture their child's academic, social and creative skills. Our meetings have an agenda where we plan an art and craft demonstration or hands on session, a discussion or presentation on interesting topics and share ideas and tips. The kids enjoy the mums meetings as well since they get a chance to meet other children and have a great time. Special sessions like story time, playdough, colouring and games are organized for the kids. It is a challenging task since it requires a lot of planning and organizing to plan meet ups, activities and other events. New ideas are needed everytime and all this requires a lot of effort, energy and time. With kids at home, sometimes to find time for work, planning and updating the website seems impossible. But then I work at night after the kids go to sleep. I am planning to launch Creative Mumz products, but still this is in the initial stages. Just today I have launched the Creative Mumz Writers Club. Mommys are invited to send in original short stories and articles to be published on the website. Send your work to writers.creativemumz@gmail.com Kids can send in original poems along with their names and age. I also run a home based book library called Book Buzz that has books for mommys and kids. Very soon we are planning to launch our playgroup. Working from home has its benefits. All mothers who are thinking of starting work from home should realise that it requires time and effort but is very rewarding to see yourself doing something important together with taking care of kids and home. Thus balancing life. My advice to work from home mothers is to plan their day and take out time for work each day either in the mornings or evenings depending on their personal routines and likes. Consistency and organization is the key to success! I have come across a few ladies who told me that they want to do something but don't know what! Well I would suggest to all such ladies to list down all activities that interest them. Brain storm and strike that one thing that they want to do in life and get started! It could be complex things like web designing or as simple as learning crafts. Its all about recognizing our inner energies and directing them to achieve our goals. We can derive inspiration from little things around us, and the best inspiration and encouragement lies with in us.
