My Thoughts on The Four Cs of Blogging

I have been pondering over a topic that was discussed during the Virtual Conference held over at Liz Strauss earlier this week. It was about the “The Four Cs of Blogging”. The questions triggered a discussion when Liz asked about, “Which of the 4 Cs do you think most bloggers pay least attention to?”From the participation, consistency and clarity were two common aspects that were widely discussed. Next came community, and it seemed that content was almost overlooked til the last bit of the discussion. But of course, everyone agreed that all Four Cs were necessary to bring visitors back and are essentials to building a better blog.
For me, I tend to pay more attention to content and consistency but I struggle with clarity at most times. I recognize the importance of building a community for my blog but I ponder on how I can be effective on that effort. What do my readers like to see and learn? How can I encourage more participation which is key to building a closer community.
My journey continues as I strive to improve myself in these areas. I invite you, my readers, to tell me, “What do you like to see in this blog”? Do you have any suggestions on how I can invite more participation?

Hi Doris!

Thanks for the tip, Liz. You are so fast… no wonder they say Liz doesn’t sleep! Always good to see you here!

March 16th, 2007 at 12:43 pmI’m just a baby blogger. But I think the most important of the C’s is content. It seems it’s not enough though just to provide interesting content. It looks as if the most successful blogs also provide some service or information. Your site’s great. Lots of valuable information.
