Are you a big user of credit cards? I don't know if it's a good thing but over the years, I have gotten so used to pulling out my credit card for all my shopping needs, unless the amount spent is a small one. In the few years, credit card companies have introduced 0% credit cards on purchases, especially on the purchase of high ticket items such as electronics, jewelry, vacation packages and computer products. It makes it more affordable for people to buy and own their favourite things. Only problem is, some consumers get so carried away and end up overspending.
These days, consumers compare credit cards based on introductory offers, rewards and other privileges that tag along with the card. Some are attracted to interest free credit cards and other credit card offers. Unfortunately, there are also some who accumulated a bad credit history by borrowing and abusing the cash advance privileges.
I am a strong believer of spending within your means and avoiding deferring payments on purchases. I do agree that it comes with discipline and careful budgeting. That way, you won't end up with bad debts and fall into the trap of overspending.
