Earlier this year, I wrote to Wendy Piersall (aka eMom) to share a short story of how she began her home business and her writing career. I also asked her to share her advice with women working from home or plan to work from home and this was what she said…
As far as getting started blogging, it was a funny story. I wanted to start up a social networking site for people interested in personal development. So I quit my job and got started.
While I was doing this, I had to do a ton of research on blogging and online marketing. Since this was my third home based business, I decided to start a work at home moms blog to share the information I gathered along the way.
As fate would have it, the mom blog took off, and my other site went nowhere. So I switched gears, and incorporated some of the stuff from my other site into eMoms at Home, and viola, here we are today.
As for lessons learned, I’ve written about that a ton. Most of the home business ones are under The Best of eMom page
