A spill from my heart
I am supposed to work on a meme for this… it’s coming but for now, I just like to share a little from my heart…
This week marks a complete wean for Clayton after 2.5 years. This has been a wonderful nursing journey. It wasn’t easy and smooth. It was frustrating on some days, weeks and months – deprived sleep, tired eyes, excessive weight loss, exhaustion… but Clayton and myself have developed a bond so close. I felt privileged to succeed in this nursing journey. It started with fears, anxieties and struggles but thanks to a good lactation consultant, she was ever so encouraging and helpful. She assured me during those days of pain and stress… I could not have done it without her guidance.
So here is my boy – 31 months, completely weaned, speaking more words than a month ago, active, refuses naps, love attention, cheeky, fun, playful… he is God’s gift from heaven. Looking back, this is a blessed journey… and I’m ever so grateful, so thankful to be mum to Clayton.
May you count your blessings today… too.
