2 weeks of school break is over

In two days’ time, Clayton is back in nursery. Whew.. so glad the two weeks are up and I will soon have more time to complete my work now. The last two weeks have been distracting and busy for me. It is Playdoh one moment and blocks the next, then he will decide to play cars and nowadays, he will negotiate by asking me for ’5 minutes only’. And do you think a 2.8 year old toddler know what that means?

Actually, I found out that PlayDoh is a nice way to de-stress too. I know it sounds amusing but it’s true. Some days I got a little stressed with work and life and spending those precious moments kneading Doh with Clayton took me to another world. I felt relaxed and refreshed, I was enjoying the creative fun we both had. Most importantly, he was learning new things, pressing spaghetti out of garlic press and making bread from the ‘bread maker’. All in a sudden, I felt like a child again. One of the days, I took him to a play float and he was so delighted. We were both having a great time.

That was a nice break after all…

Who needs a therapist when some non toxic colorful PlayDoh will do!
I’ll tell you a secret… I think I use to love going to the indoor playgrounds more than my son did. He is 13 now and I miss those days. It’s hard to feel like you have an excuse to jump into a ball pit and play when your 43.
Yea, I know what you mean! It’s always good to enjoy the things we used to do.Â
