Some of you may know from my earlier post that I have a soft spot for children with special needs. I always like to do something for orphanges or shelters when opportunity arises. Two years ago, few of us threw a special Christmas party for a children's home. The smiles on their faces brought such unspeakable joy and comfort to my heart.
There is a very special ministry known as CarAngel Ministries that was brought to my attention today. This ministry offers you and I the opportunity to play our part to bring hope and joy to the lives of many including the homeless, single moms, orphans, troubled teens, rehab as well as prison reform. This special program calls for a car or boat donation to the ministry to help those in need. By saying 'car', it can mean a truck, motorcycle, SUV, truck or even a bicycle. The thing is most people will discard any unused vehicles or worse, leave them to rot in their garages. Why don't donate any unused or old car or boat to give hope to countless lives out there.
BoatAngel outreach center was set up to restore the lives of many troubled teens, men and women, who may be homeless, rebellious, involved in drugs or alcoholics. BoatAngel uses the charity proceeds to build homes, purchase educational and motivational material to help these young people who struggle to live another day or who have lost their hopes in life. BoatAngel also distributes a special series of DVDs to educate and reach out to little ones.
When you donate a boat or car, it is sold via auction and CarAngel will use the proceeds to fund the ministries and programs and through that, touch and impact more lives. All donations will be issued with receipts for tax filing purposes.
It doesn't take alot to do our part, really. First, it takes compassion, then action. Why don't take a look around your house or garage and see if there is something you can donate today? Remember, you can make a difference.
