what is true happiness for you?
I’m tired… after 4 hours of driving on a road trip from Singapore. It was nothing but back to back meetings, a little leisure here and there. We had some fruitful meetings with our Singapore partners and business associates. A few incidents triggered some thoughts on life, money and happiness. I talked to a successful woman who had a great career, lots of money and established business but no true happiness on the home front. It makes me rethink my purposes and goals in life as I start to re-evaluate my priorities.
Business success is coveted by both working women and men, so is true happiness. You may be doing do well in your business, climbing that corporate ladder or building that home business of yours, but if you have no true happiness, everything becomes futile after a while. You may be popping lots of garden of life pills to stay healthy and strong, attend the best talks in town by top gurus in how to succeed in life but it still come back to what is the single most thing in your life that makes you smile every morning and sleep in calmness and peace every night.
What is true happiness for you?

Hey, I’ve been pondering about this issue recently too, and seemed to be getting confused as I think indepth. As women of the 21st century, we seemed to have it all so we should be the happiest generation of women compared to the women in the past. We can choose whether to be married, have children etc…We don’t necessary have to get married to survive, an if marriage makes us miserable, we can get a divorce. We can then focus on interesting and rewarding careers. Probably we are all spoilt for choice that is why are don’t seem to be any happier.

When I overextend myself, I get exhausted and everything looks bleak. But whenever my children do something new or make me laugh, I realize how happy I am to be around them. True Happiness is tough to achieve. I think it’s a combination of personal fulfillment and togetherness with the ones you love.
Thanks for sharing, Cindy. Children play a big part in bringing that delight into our hearts.
