take the brand strength test

The mistake that many small businesses, including those who work from home, has made is to neglect the importance of building a brand. A good and strong brand helps to position your company and its products and bring it to a new level. The example shared by our last year’s speaker, Al Ries, rang in my head all the time – Why did people pay RM10 for a cup of cofeee at Starbucks when the guy next door is charging only RM1? People go to Starbucks not just for coffee anymore but the ambience, culture and the brand. It is nice to be seen hanging out at Starbucks and not a little ‘no-name’ coffeeshop. Starbucks has succeeded in building its brand and culture over a simple cup of coffee.

So even if you are running a business from home, branding can be vital in meeting your marketing goals and strengthen your products/services in the marketplace or in the eyes of your clients. This morning, I took a Branding Test to analyze the brand strength of our company. It was an interesting test made up of 12 questions identifying clients’ satisfaction, perception, brand recognition and awareness, marketing communications, company’s positioning and marketing collaterals. Why don’t conduct the free test and check out the brand strength of your company?
