I felt a little sad today after reading about a 2 month old baby's forearm being removed due to an infection that happened in a local hospital. She was born prematurely and during her stay in the incubator, the infection took place via the tube that was attached on her hand. Well, if you ask me, I can boldly tell you that the hospital should be questioned for this unfortunate incident. How did this simple procedure lead to an infection so bad that this little baby's forearm had to be amputated?
