In 3 – 4 years’ time, our family will be moving to Australia. We have thought about this for a long time before applying for our Australian PR two years ago. Currently, we have not confirmed on where to reside, it can be Perth, Brisbane or even Melbourne. Since DH has relatives in both Brisbane and Melbourne, it is likely that we will end up in the Eastern State, plus my best friend will be migrating to Melbourne with her family in a couple of years’ time.
I’m not sure what we’ll be doing when we move to Australia but the Gumtree free community classifieds site will definitely be a great resource for us. The site features Jobs in Melbourne for both part and full time positions, which is great in case I decide to temp around for a while. Potential job seekers can view the job opportunities by categories – sales/marketing, babysitting, accounting, chefs, part-time, weekends, hotel jobs, adminstration…etc. This is so helpful for anyone moving to a new town and need a starting point. If only Gumtree was around 10 years ago, I would have gotten a part-time position while undergoing my postgraduate studies in Australia. Then I could save some money and tour a few Australian cities before heading home.
