simple inspirations from homemade lanterns
For the first time, we attended a function organized by Clayton’s school to celebrate the coming Mooncake or Lantern festival. We are that sort of parents who avoid these crowded gatherings but for the good of our boy, we decide to be present.
I was amazed by the creativity of these kids who participated in the ‘design your homemade lantern’ competition. Obviously, we didn’t participate in that. Those handmade lanterns hung on the string were artistic and awesome, never would I had thought about using recycled materials for the lanterns – how ingenious! Though we couldn’t stay til the end of the party, I was glad that we were there to meet Clayton’s teachers and be part of the event. I was inspired by the creativity of these simple things around us.
