where are you spending Christmas?

We were in the mall yesterday and I noticed that the Christmas decorations and Christmas trees were already out for sale - wow, how time flies! This year, our family is spending ours in Los Angeles with few close relatives and we are looking forward to it. But before heading to LA, we'll be in Hawaii for a two weeks' break - yay! Last two years, we didn't think about getting a nanny for Clayton so we had to skip the outdoor activities like hiking and horse riding. This year, I am hoping to hike up Diamond Head, which means we must get a babysitter or nanny for our boy for at least half a day!
Active and outdoor parents can understand how important it is to find a babysitter in times like these! From the travel guides in the web, I believe most hotels provide keiki (children) programs for children from 4 years onwards. Let's just see if I can convince the carers to take Clayton in, even though he's only 3 years and two months old by then :)

We are down south for Christmas this year. From what I’ve heard from the locals, there is a 50/50 chance of the temp being over 70 degrees on Christmas day!
It will be difficult to create a traditional holiday feeling if I have to run the air conditioning to bake cookies.
