we are finally in waikiki!
Finally, we are here in Waikiki for our long awaited family vacation. It hasn’t been easy overcoming jetlag especially after a 14 hours flight (total) plus a transit of 12 hours in Seoul. Worse still, this three year old of mine insisted that he must stand up during the take off and landing time – imagine me coaxing, speaking sternly, yelling and finally forcing him down the seat. He cried from the time of take off till the seat belt sign was off – sigh!!
Well, I was glad that he didn’t do it again after mommy worked out a strategy to keep him in his seat. Food seemed to be the way to ‘bribe’ a child at times, especially in emergencies like this. Anyways, we finally made it here after the long haul flight and both DH and myself have been trying to keep ourselves awake the whole day and refusing naps, just so that we can sync with the local time. We even try to attend a business presentation involving the sale of used cisco so that we could stay awake!
While I love to report what’s Waikiki like now, compared to my first trip more than 10 years ago, I’m now too tired to even think more… till then, more reports on the way!
