New Year in Big Bear Mountains
It was our first New Year spent outside Malaysia and it was great to have a ‘cold’ New Year. Being our first trip to Big Bear Mountains, it was great to behold the snow-capped mountains and awesome Christmas trees standing tall on the mountains. The ski fields were field with ardent leisure seekers and I only wished I could sign up for a ski camp!
I noticed that there were many real estate offices on the mountains with many renting vacation homes to holiday makers. Our cabin was cosy with three bedrooms and a huge living and dining area. We had a wonderful New Year dinner menu – roast tri-tip, home made guacamole with chips, cassava for dessert…etc. It was hard to resist these delicious treats!
We’ll be heading back to M’sia tonight and I’ll be back to work in a couple of days’ time. Wishing everyone a blessed 2008!
