home is where the heart is
This year, DH and myself have decided to take Clayton to a park every weekend since we tend to head to the mall on most weekends last year. Though we work in a home office, we hardly have time to take him to the park on the weekdays so a time of outdoor fun is great for a growing preschooler. Personally, I find it a great way to bond with him and spend quality time as a family, enjoying the great outdoors and relaxing activities. I’m glad that he is doing well with his new bicycle and I can’t wait to get him a pair of roller blades when he’s ready. I’ve also decided that we should cut down on home office work on the weekends and devote that time to family time and activities such as utilize my ellipticals more. What I like is a well-balanced family and work life for this year instead of letting work spill over to the weekends which is not fair for our little boy.
I, too, hope that you are spending a bit more time with your family and loved ones in 2008… as the saying goes, ‘Home is where the heart is‘. Wishing you a happy Sunday.
