missing the things girls do 0

Posted on March 31, 2008 by dc

I’ve decided not to lug my laptop to Singapore for this short trip. It’s been the second month since I started with traditional chinese medicine and I’m glad the results are showing positively for my allergy problems. I could recall how TCM had helped my mom in her younger days when she was suffering from fibromyalgia and rheumatism. A two nights trip like this can be tiring when I traveled with a three year old. You really gotta be good at the balancing act of handling a stroller with your left hand and the luggage with your right. But the trouble was quickly forgotten once I got to Singapore. It was nevertheless a good break since I was able to catch up with an old friend who was visiting for Sabah. It was nice to do the things girls enjoy - sipping tea and digging into a piece of yummy treats from Canele. Can’t wait for another get together like this… after all these years of motherhood - I still miss the things girls do.

learning to save 0

As a home business owner, you may be careful on how to spend your money. But what is helpful is if you organized a plan on how to best save your hard-earned money. Shopping the sales, cut corners, conserve energy, book cheap flights and clip coupons are all positive steps to help you save. In other words, with some careful planning and organized thought, you can make your dollar stretch even further.

I read from an article that suggests that you should pay yourself first. This means you bill yourself as a way to keep track. You can have a portion of your check directly deposited into your savings account so you’ll never even miss it. Put part of it into savings for shorter term goals and put some into a retirement plan. One other way is to compare interest rates at different financial institutions to get the most bang for your savings!

When it comes to family travel, budget can be a primary factor to consider. Besides air travel costs, you have to take into consideration a family friendly accommodation and being accessible to amenities and places of attraction. This can be vital when you have small children with you. My cousins who travel with her two kids have to plan activities to keep them happy while finding time for themselves in between the day. They have been talking about vacationing in Orlando since the children have been pestering them about Disney World. One of the ways to save is to buy Discount Walt Disney World Tickets online at Orlando Fun Tickets, which is ‘the’ place to book dinner show tickets, Univeral Studio and water theme park tickets, magic shows…etc. With the convenience of online booking, tickets will be delivered to your doorstep with no stress on your part to collect them at the gate. This allows you to have an enjoyable vacation with you and your kids.

We have heard much about global warming and perhaps, you are also one of the protagonists in keeping our environment clean and and green. One of the ways to promote eco consciousness at home is to get your family actively involved in the recycling process. This means that everyone should be taught what products can be recycled. I trust that we all want to do our part in to ensure that our environment stays as safe and healthy as possible for our children and future generations to come.  Many people don’t stop to think how their household cleaners can affect the environment, and how toxic they can be when used in the home, especially if there is any young children around.  With some careful thoughts, planning and effort, our homes can be cleaned safely and effectively, sparing the environment, our families and pets from toxic chemicals and fumes. take five 1

Because I work from home, sometimes I can get into the habit of having my lunch at my desk or cutting my breaks short.  But the truth is taking a walk during break time and time away from the desk to recharge are probably the most important things you can do to recharge your battery. This may also be a great way to clear your mind and prepare to tackle the tasks at hand more productively and efficiently. So take five if you need to.

We tend to think that heart related illnesses such as heart attack or Congestive Heart Failure can occur only when we reach a certain age like 50 and up. Before you get too complacent with this assumption, you may be in for a surprise that more and more young people are suffering from cardiac issues. Stress, smoking, high cholesterol, cigarette smoking and excess weight are only but few risk factors of a sudden cardiac arrest. If you like to find out facts and information on sudden cardiac arrest, click on the above link to read more. We should never take our health for granted.

More and more people are exploring the possibilities of starting their own home business.  Most of these may be part-time or full-time but what matters is that they are started and operated from the comfort and privacy of the home.
