website design and blogging

Posted on April 10, 2008 by dc

Though I’m not a web designer, my graphic design education has taught me that the design of a website should aim to give visitors the greatest ease of use, the best impression and most important of all a welcoming experience. It doesn’t matter if you had the greatest product in the whole world — if your website is poorly done you won’t be able to sell even one copy of it because visitors will be driven off your website by the lousy design.

In the last one year, I have seen many good websites and blog templates too. Along the way, I have learned alot from many bloggers, site owners and online marketers. Looking back, I would never know what was page rank, html or any technical knowledge on blogging or web design. This evening, I was reading a post about pagerank and some of us might agree that this had been an interesting topic since Google slammed many websites and blogs six months ago. Many of us would have little idea of how our page ranks are calculated or determined. As much as the Google toolbar tells us that what the site’s page rank is, it is really not what you see at all. If you like to learn more about what the author says about page rank, check out his blog on web design and style. I’m sure you can learn a thing or two about page rank after reading it.
