For one reason or another, times seems to pass very quickly when I work in my home office.
I have been busy building my two new niche sites the last few weeks. After consulting with my internet marketing coach, I decided to draft out a plan for my online business and multiple niche sites and started doing some serious work.
For most work at home moms who own websites, web stores and affiliate sites, our biggest concern would be “How to bring more traffic to our niche sites?” While this topic about website traffic is not rocket science, it does call for lots of patience, hard work and perseverance. This whole thing about SEO is becoming more interesting for me as a work at home mom. Infact, this is the first time I really get serious about my knowledge in SEO!
All internet marketers will tell you the same thing (and they are right!) To bring more traffic to your site or to optimize your niche site, you need more backlinks and target keyword phrases. Be warned that these two important steps are by itself a very complex topic. The comforting thing is, any work at home mom can master this if she put in the time, efforts and probably some money. If you treat your niche sites are your home business, an investment is necessary.
Where link building is concerned, I’ve finally submitted both of my new niche sites to a directory submission service. Well, since submitting your niche sites to web directories is a fairly simple activity, you can choose to do it yourself. But is it advisable? Honestly, No! Especially if you have tonnes of home office errands to complete and you are rushing to finish your home office workload before your children come home from school. All work at home moms have little window of time for dedicated work and full concentration. Plus, you would need a considerable amount of time and effort in finding the right list of directories and and having your site details properly submitted to each one of them. With a little investment, you can save yourself the time and effort and use a professional directory submission service.
With only 14 cents per directory submission, you can choose the number of directories you want to submit your niche sites to or have an order placed for 100 submissions which would cost you just $14. Directory submission is only but one way to build backlinks and bring traffic to your niche sites. Like I said earlier, this investment is necessary if your niche sites are part of your home office business.

Having a home office is a wonderful blessing for me. While I’m daily juggling between home office and parenting duties, this work at home privilege is something I truly treasure.
This home based business of ours will soon will fully focused on our online business but for this year, we will still look after two workshops in our offline seminar business. In fact, I would be sourcing for promotional products for our upcoming workshop. Apart from that, 80% of our home office time is spent on our internet business. While I’m learning more about SEO and keyword analysis each day, DH is enriching himself in PPC (pay per click) through intensive videos and guides.
If you are starting out in your internet business, may I encourage you to press on while the going gets tough. It is very human to expect quick results in this sort of home based business but just like any offline business, online business or internet business takes years to build up. I’m testing a SEO program out these two weeks in my home office and will talk about it in details when I am more familiar with it.
Are you planning to work from home too?

The last one week, I have been terribly busy in my home office. DH had introduced a new SEO software and I have been analyzing and trying it out for several of my multiple niche sites. For a long time, I haven’t spent time to optimize this home office blog and I know the time is right for me to get started. As a matter of fact, I have been distracted by so many money making options that along the way, this home office blog has been neglected.
One by one, I am optimizing each multiple niche site with specific keywords and hopefully, these efforts can increase my adsense and affiliate earnings. Working from my home office is still very much my desire and in order to be more profitable, I need to put in my efforts in seo research and keyword analysis. Not only is this good for adsense, it will profit my affiliate business in the long run. But it does require some home office investments including purchasing the right software and quality learning material. It is easy for any home office woman to be too caught up with all the internet and online business material that you can end up overbuying! So spend time to analyze the software or application first by checking out internet marketing forums and reading from experienced internet marketers. I’m still learning to do that in my home office and perhaps, it’s also time to invest in a few pieces of office furniture for the home office.
So let me continue analyzing the SEO software and when I’m fully confident that it is working for my home office business and multiple niche sites, I’ll then write more about it.
