Being a work at home mom may be the best decision you have ever made but life can be challenging too. Basically, you are on call 24/7 and the demands seems never ending. Sometimes you may even feel like you are experiencing a burnout!
The first step to coping with burnout is to try preventing it. Avoid overpacking your schedule with activities for the kids or yourself. It is good to take a little time for yourself every day. You may not need to be alone, but you do need to relax a little. Apart from your home business responsibilities, you may want to set aside some time to rest when the kids are napping or in school. It is so important to get things done with a clear head.
Keep your expectations and those of your family realistic. If you’re running a home business or have a work at home job, you can’t be expecting a perfect house in every sense. Pick a day to do the laundry, the vacuuming and other housework, a little planning is necessary.
Make sure you get enough sleep. The more tired you are, the more stress you are going to feel, and the harder it will be to cope with it. I know it can be hard but getting sufficient sleep can also mean a healthier body and a more alert mind.
Plan fun activities once in a while to relieve stress. Depending on your needs and the needs of your family, this can be alone or with the entire family. Go to the beach, a park, zoo, mall, wherever it is you can relax and just have fun. Or include an exercise regime twice a week, to work out your body and that may also help to lose some belly fat.
Consider cooking meals and snacks in advance. It’s easy to give your children healthy snacks if you have sliced vegetables and/or fruits ready to go in the fridge. On busy seasons, meals may also be prepared in advance and frozen for those nights when you’re simply too tired to cook. Plan your meals for leftovers that will freeze well, and say goodbye to expensive frozen dinners from the grocery store.
Some of us work at home moms keep a written schedule. If it makes you feel overwhelmed, then don’t bother. What works for some people may not work for you.

Over the last couple of weeks, I have been working hard in my home office doing my keyword research for a few new projects. Many friends of mine can never understand why I can sit in front of my computer for hours just to look for a few words and how they can impact a website. If you are a work at home focusing on online business, you should understand that researching in a niche sure takes time and efforts.
You can use the free Google Tool to search for keywords in your chosen niche and that will give you an idea of the search traffic and competition in the web. Some of you may have heard of Market Samurai and how its effectiveness in keyword and competition research. I have used it to research in niches from thermogenic fat burner to kids costumes. It is an affordable software if you are serious about working on your online business from home. You can learn more from a series of videos available at YouTube if you like to know more about the program.
Apart from keyword research for my online home business, I’m busy with my son’s 5th birthday party. This is his first party with friends his age so he’s so excited about it. I didn’t know that birthday party preparation can involve so much work and planning. It is a good thing that I’m working from home and with this flexibility, I can plan my time accordingly.

I’m currently working on a few new niches and would love to share them with the women working from home when they are ready. For now, if you haven’t owned your domains and plan to do so, this is a GoDaddy Promotion that is offering a 30% off all dot Com domains. Enter source code gdr114h to enjoy your savings. (offer ends 25 October 2009)

When you are working from home to gain success in your business, it is easy to ignore both your physical and mental health due to long and irregular hours.
The usual advice applies – proper diet and exercise, and even if you don’t have a family at home, don’t work all the time. Entrepreneurs often report that the one aspect they miss in home working is the contact with colleagues, so be sure to maintain a social life, possibly through a business networking or support group. It is helpful to surround yourself with positive, supportive people, and be sure to explain your business idea fully to your family. They will be a critical part of your support system. Those who love you the most aren’t usually trying to stand in your way – it’s just that starting a home business may be something unknown to them, and like everyone, they tend to be fearful of something they don’t understand.
In addition to time freedom, another big benefit of working at home may be a reduction in stress for some. Perhaps you will have less pimples and there’s little need for Acneticin cos you are getting proper meals from home. Of course, any business will bring its own pressures, but there are certain stressful situations that can be avoided by working at home. Ultimately when you are less stressed, the more energy and enthusiasm you have, and you have save the energy on your family or business! The daily commute can literally be a few feet to an office or other work area. You can avoid the stress, time and wear and tear involved in the traditional daily commute, and literally add two hours to your working day.
