This is a busy season for many of us work at home moms. Not only do we have to watch over our children who are on holidays, we need to shop for Christmas gifts for the season, prepare dinners and for some, parties for the families.

As you celebrate the Christmas season, make sure you take time off your work and spend quality time with your family and friends. Sometimes we who work from home tend to mix home time with work time, which makes it hard for us to take a total break. We are often tempted to step into our home office to check our emails, do a little surfing and work on our online business. It can be addictive! It won’t be nice for the children especially if they are expecting total attention and dedicated time together as a family. So if you are going on vacation, restrict yourself from doing any work apart from reading your emails. And if that’s taking too much of your time, then it’s time to reset your priorities.

Well, for those whose schedule is full up with Christmas lunches, dinners and parties, you may need anatural appetite suppressant to keep your weight in check. For now, take your break and get your well deserved rest for being such hardworking work at home moms for the entire year!

Many work at home moms are entering the wonderful world of blogging. While I was away for my vacation, I set up a blog for my cousin whom I was staying with for a few days. She is a work at home mom too and was amazed at what she could do with her home office via her blog.

It took her some time to believe that everyone can learn how to start and maintain a blog. Everyone of us, we have learned a lot in life’s journey, both from success and failure. Maybe you know the best way to cook a chicken or fix the home including Toto toilet. Do you know that many people out there are searching and wanting to know this information. If you have a decent ability to write, consider starting a blog from home. If you can get people reading your blog, you can make money, no matter what you write about. But keep in mind that it takes time to build a successful blog and to make money from it.

Whatever you are writing, think about your audience. Target your articles to a niche group, and then target all of your money making plans to that group. I believe most work at home moms have a niche and it’s about sharing it via your blogs. People are more responsive to a targeted campaign than a general one. So start a niche blog from your home. Think about what you like to talk about – lifestyle, health, home and living, technology, children…etc. You too can enter the wonderful world of blogging!

The weekends are here again. Whew! I’m sure it’s a relief for many work at home moms and dads as they take time out of their home office. Perhaps, it’s not so good news for some who often load their weekends with work and work alone. I certainly hope you are not one of them.

I’m traveling on my vacation this weekend and it’s been a tough week for me. I fell sick during my holidays and had to see two doctors. Those who work from home can understand how it feels to fall sick during a vacation cos this is a break that we look forward to have. Well, there is nothing much I can do except to take it easy (since I’m on a vacation) and not try to do too many things at a go.

This trip, I manage to catch up with my cousin who attends a medical assistant training school and my little boy had so much fun with her boys. It’s a good time out for me despite nursing my bad cough and cold. I have to admit that I can’t lay aside all my work cos there are still online assignments dateline to meet.

Well, one more week and the vacation comes to an end. For those work at home moms who are also taking a break this December, have fun and take it easy. Make the best out of your break and enjoy yourself.
