If you are a work at home mom who has been learning about internet business, I’m sure you have been told that the keywords used are very important for your articles and websites. Finding keywords that are appropriate for your niche market can help to improve your search engine ranking.
To start the keyword search for your website, you should first make a list of the keywords related to your niche site and you can do this with free online services such as word tracker. All you have to do is to type a keyword and wait for the list to appear on the computer screen. And you will you have a direct access to hundreds of keywords related to the keyword you have typed in the box.
For instance: your website is a website that markets and promotes clothing. Type the word ‘clothing’ and you will have all the top keywords related to the topic or niche. You can even type in micro niche keywords related to clothing such as ‘Nascar jacket‘ or anything else that you are promoting for your site. Now you have to select for relevant keywords for your website. So if your niche site is centered around ‘work at home moms‘ then you can enter the keyword in WordTracker and list down the keywords related to the topic.
Another tricky method of finding niche keywords is to take a look at your competitors’ sites and keywords. Look at the meta-tags of your competitors’ website. The meta-tags are a good source of significant keywords. You can also seek help from your customers regarding the keywords they use in their search.

It’s been crazy for me the past week or so and I haven’t had time to sit down for a breather! Like many work at home moms, I start the day early, get my kid to school, handle some chores, answer my emails, go through my to-do list and before I know it, it’s time to pick my kid again! Time flies so quickly when you work in the home office!
I’ve been working on a new website lately. A friend of mine was asking for advice on starting a website and getting her own hosting and I have many reasons to tell her that she’s making the right choice. A good website and hosting package with a domain name is important to begin some web presence.
Having a good domain name with your niche keyword in there is important. It helps alot with search engine optimization. Those “free” websites aren’t so good if you are serious about your online marketing business. Like it or not, you are helping to drive ton of free traffic to those free websites.
On a daily basis, I will take time to check the traffic stats of my blogs and sites. Many work at home moms do that for their sites as they need to find out which keywords work for their sites and what sort of keywords are bringing the visitors to their sites. An important, but often unused component of new online marketers is tracking your visitors. When setting up your new website it’s important to add a tracking service of some kind. This is so once your new site begins to take off, you know exactly where your visitors are coming from. Sometimes I find that working from a home office is few times busier than those careers I had previously pursued. I am always doing something every moment.
Starting a website is the first step to take if you are a new work at home mom. Whether you are just starting out or are planning towards this, it’s never too late to start thinking of a niche to get into.

In preparation for the move end of this year, DH and myself have been discussing what are the things we need for the new home office. With that in mind, we also need to find a house that fits our requirements of working from home and having ample space for our family.
Hopefully, we can find a home with lots of greenery as that can be therapeutic for the home office environment. I always picture myself looking out to a window of greens and taking in some fresh air when I need a break from stress. Currently, this home office that we have isn’t very conducive and the air ventilation isn’t that good. We find ourselves using an air filter and ionizer for the small room to keep the air fresh. I know that some homes have attics or basements which can be converted as home offices. For those in the basement, a basement dehumidifier would be most helpful to keep mold and mildew away. Unlike some, we may not have the budget to have a big home office but I’m not bothered by that at all. What’s most important is a cosy office that is comfortable and conducive for both of us.
The nice thing about owning an internet or online business is that you can work anywhere in the world. That means any place with an internet connection can be a home office. Oh yes, that reminds me of a friend who used to live in a motorhome and she was practically operating a business from that car-home of hers! Therefore with a little creativity and hardwork, you can build your own home office and enjoy the true freedom and flexibility of time.
