Work at Home Mom Deals with Heaviness Comments Off
I had one of the most tiring and challenging week and what made it worse was my child was having that nasty cough that wouldn’t stopped completely. My part time cleaner had also retired so now, I have to add more tasks to my list of duties as a work at home mom. Then I opened up my blog this morning and realized a big surge in my alexa ranking… just because I haven’t been updating the blog for a week!
Well, striking a balance between my internet business – which includes blogging – and my personal responsibilities is never easy. I was emotionally hit when the added stress of a sick child who refused medicine came upon me. So this morning, I prayed and put down all my anxieties at the Lord’s feet, trusting that He will grant me the strength and patience to press on. Every work at home mom needs an additional ounce of strength to move on when the going gets tough.
My morning started with a change of sheets for the bedroom and vacuuming the bed to keep allergies at bay. I have heard about allergy bedding and perhaps it’s time to get some for the home. Prevention is better than cure so I would rather work towards keeping the house clean and free from allergy triggers than spend time dealing with sicknesses.
After all these chores, I finally have some time to look through my work list for the week in the home office before heading for lunch. It’s going to be a good week for me and I’m reminded to let praise lift up my spirit of heaviness. What a powerful weapon to counter the wearisome spirit within me.
