Whenever I feel melancholic about life, I tend to take time to think about how blessed I am even in the midst of challenges of life. Looking back, I have been involved in internet business for about three years and the learning curve has been a good one.
Like many work at home moms, I didn’t jumped on to the bandwagon knowing alot of stuff pertaining to blogging and affiliate marketing. I know nothing about online business and man, I don’t even know how to set up a blog. I was clueless. But it all started when I attended an internet marketing workshop conducted by a few entrepreneurs and though it was a basic course, it got me interested in the business.
I started with a free blogging platform and after some time, I bought my first domain and like they said, the rest is history. My blogging business has grown over time and it’s become easier to set up a blog these days. Along the way, I was taught to choose a niche for my blogs and then I started delving into affiliate marketing too. You can find many niches in the internet including reviews on health products, diet pills that work, shopping reviews and more. Basically, a niche is an area of particular interest.
I have still yet to make big bucks from the internet but I’m happy that I can make money from home with very low start-up or running costs. This is one great work at home business that I enjoy and I am looking forward to grow it in the months and years to come.

So what do work at home moms do on a weekend? Do we stop all work and spend quality time with our family? Do we spend time catching up with lost sleep? Do we go shopping or do we sit back and enjoy a good movie with the family?
This is another weekend where I have to send my boy to the gym, revise his spelling for the week, play some games and then take a nap. I woke up to head to the park before dropping by a friend’s place for dinner. It’s busy and full but it’s well spent. I try not to do any work but I have to rush something before tomorrow so I did spend some time in the home office. Hopefully it’s a full break tomorrow and I don’t need to sit in front of the computer. I am hoping to read some info on stretch mark cure for a friend who had just given birth to a baby and needed some help to get rid of those marks.
So how did you work at home moms spend your weekend, I wonder? Whatever you choose you do, make good of your time and enjoy doing the things you plan to do. Aren’t we glad we can have weekends to rest our bodies and relax our minds?

I count myself very blessed to work at home with my other half in the last few days. Though we don’t have a glamorous home office that face the ocean or huge parklands, we are blessed to enjoy the freedom and flexibility of a home office.
When we move to Australia in a few months’ time, we will continue to work from home and this time, we are going full time in our online marketing business. Starting afresh in a new country is never easy but with online business, there are no boundaries. The global market is still the main focus for my online marketers but sometimes, we get too carried away by the big money globally that we have missed out on the local market.
Whether you are an online marketing focusing on popular niches such as weight loss or acne treatments, you can take a look at your local market. There is more than just affiliate marketing and online stores in internet marketing. With today’s advanced technology, we can tap on the media and explore different ways in doing business. One of them is video marketing.
We have yet to explore the enormous potential of online marketing and as we continue to work from home, we aim to discover new channels of making our online business a success. Yes, it’s not overnight and it’s going to take time, courage and even patience. But with determination and hard work, a successful home business is not impossible.
