Home Office and Internet Marketing Business Comments Off

Posted on July 15, 2010 by dc

It only makes sense to find the best deals whenever you plan to buy anything for your home business, isn’t it? With the convenience of online technology, it’s easy to find and compare prices, search for what you want and make a purchase without stepping out of your home office at all.

While shopping for a new Mac to complement our new online consulting business, I’ve been visiting various Apple stores from different countries. After much comparison, I found out that the prices of Macs are rather competitive in every country but sometimes various online stores may offer some promotions. From now till 7 September, some online Apple stores are offering a free iPod touch for every Mac purchase (brand new) at education pricing and this would mean savings of $199! Therefore, if you’re a college student or a faculty or staff member at any grade level and you buy a new Mac with Apple education pricing from May 25 through September 7, 2010, you can get a free 8GB iPod touch. So work at home moms and dads -you may want to take note of this cool promotion!

The internet marketing business is growing at a rapid pace as more people tap on the power of technology and maximize their potential. From searching NC health insurance to buying an air ticket, companies have to be more web savvy if they want to reach the new tech savvy generation. With that in mind, there is huge potential for all work at home moms and dads riding on this internet marketing band wagon. And this trend is set to grow and grow. What are you waiting for?

Adding More Home Office Equipment Comments Off

Posted on July 15, 2010 by dc

After being a Mac user for the last twenty over years, I am now for more new home office equipment. Obviously, I’ll stick to a new Mac product and it’s hard to decide between an iMac and another MacBook Pro.

With today’s technology at affordable pricing, it’s easy to start a home office and in some countries, your home office equipment including your computer, printer, scanner and furniture are tax deductible. Sounds good for the taxpayers, isn’t it? I can’t say how much I like my Mac experience in the last three decades and will continue to support the company for the range of great products they are creating. Despite criticism about the new iPhone 4 Gs, I believe it’s only a matter of time those issues will be solved.

Now, I’m feeling itchy about owning an iPad and that will be a good device to have when I travel. Would be great to type on a screen sized keyboard and that will replace my current MSI netbook which will be given to my brother. I can read news on property updates, reviews on strongest fat burner, shop online for my vitamins and get updates from Facebook. What more, I can create pages, keynote presentations and more!

So would I be able to convince my hubby that the iPad can be included as part of my home office equipment? With that, I won’t have to squint my eyes on small print on the iPhone and can move about anywhere in the home office with the wifi connection. This should complement my iMac, doesn’t it?

Busy Schedule for the Work At Home Mom Comments Off

Work at home has been a little disrupted by the series of tasks, errands and responsibilities in the last few weeks. I find myself not as productive as before and it’s about I do something about it.

My niche blogs need some attention as I haven’t had time to update and work on them. In addition, I need to prepare for our big move down under so there are just too many things to handle. Health wise, I have been attending some depression therapy sessions for my spine and stiff neck. Since then, I’m paying more attention towards a better posture when I sit in my home office. I told hubby that we have to get adjustable tables for our new home office next year.

Amidst the busyness, we caught up with some close friends last Sunday for a good meal. It was nice to chat, laugh and talk with good friends. We can discuss from politics to children to diet plans that work. We talk little about work and just discuss about the light things of life. It’s important not to neglect our family and friends no matter how busy we are.

We’ll be heading for Perhentian Islands for a short trip end of this year and therefore, the home office will be closed for a few days. That’s the cool thing about being a work at home mom – the flexibility and the ability to work anywhere at anytime of the day.
