During a breakfast meeting with a few work at home moms, I gathered from our conversation that it isn’t easy to start an online business. There are many success stories around but they aren’t too good at sharing about how they had made it. You get alot of internet marketers who are good at charging a lot for their information and then making it hard to understand what they mean.
There are a few things to note when you plan to work at home with an online business. First, start with a niche market. I know this is different from how people do things in the real world, but in cyber space this is the best place to start. The easiest way is to pick on a group of people just like you. People with whom you share a problem.
Second, find a product that solves their problem. There are millions of them out there. It all depends on your chosen niche and you can narrow down to a micro one. That can include selling printer inks, from 108R00723 to different brands and models.
Third, build a really simple, one page web site. Your site only needs to offer a product that solves a problem to the people with the problem.
Fourth, drive traffic to that web site. This is another topic on its own and it takes time, focus and lots of efforts. Traffic generation is essential in all aspects of internet business so you should be prepared to spend more time on it.
Working at home is a dream that is covet by many but before you can finally jump on this bandwagon, it’s good to consider other options that ensure you stability in your income.
