Posted on May 21, 2011 by dc

There is no doubt that children need their parents, which is why many families are selecting either the man or woman to work and stay at home while the other works in the marketplace. The process by which the selection is made is based entirely upon each family’s decision, but all experts believe that children need parental guidance in order to happily mature. It isnít enough to simply hire a babysitter or leave the children at preschool.

A stay at home dad will get to spend the most time with the children and will be responsible for many of their daily activities. Making sure that they have well-balanced meals, are dressed properly when going to the store or play with toys that convey a positive message are just a few of the responsibilities of a stay at home dad. Fixing the furnitures, the broken oven or cleaning Wire display racks are more tasks a stay at home dad may even undertake.

Being a stay at home dad is one of the best jobs in the world and will likely is the most rewarding career that any man can perfect. A closeness with the children and watching them grow up as loving adults will be a reflection of how they were cared for in their earliest years.

Work at Home Parents and Their Children Comments Off

Many well meaning parents who work from home set out to interest their children in a few extra curricular activities aside from school and ordinary family fun stuff. It’s natural to work hard to be the best parent that you can be. However, many parents so caught up in the chaos of ordinary busy life that they assume that scheduling their children for as many activities as possible is actually the best way to rear kids.

Realistically however, over-scheduling your children has the potential to impact your family in a negative way, preventing your child from enjoying quiet solitude and some occasional time to simply reflect on life and enjoy an ordinary, lazy day. Parents nowadays are excited to schedule their children for as many activities as possible, buy into the latest developmental tapes and do everything possible to stimulate early intellectual development and healthy habits. Not surprisingly, this pattern of over-scheduling can backfire, and leave kids exhausted, confused, discouraged and un-motivated. Sometimes it’s good to keep them at home, let them help around and even get them involved in some planning. Perhaps, get them excited about fixing the fireplace insert during winter time!

Remember in times of old scheduling activities was virtually unheard of. Parents traditionally have gone with the flow, encouraging their children to engage in active play as they see fit. Allow Your Children a Choice ñ you want to try as best as possible to select activities your children will enjoy. To do this you should consider one or two different activities and consult with your child. If you register them for soccer but they hate soccer, you will probably only end up frustrated, and your child will not benefit from the experience.

Taking a Break From the Home Office Comments Off

I find myself getting through the week very fast in the home office. There is a long list of things to accomplish and what I need is extra time to finish them all! But it’s just one of those days where I feel like doing the things I like and putting on hold the not so important things.

Something unpleasant happen at work few days ago and hubby and myself are still recovering from the incident. We know things happen for a reason and we take every setback a learning experience for ourselves. No setback is pleasant when it happened but there’s always something to learn from it. So since I’m not in the mood to do any hard core work, I’ve been taking from my home office and doing some baking in the kitchen. See, that’s the nice thing about working from home. YOu take a break when you need some sanity! Hubby had been checking out some garmin golf gps courses and that took his mind off some troubled matters. I find myself leaving my troubles in the kitchen with those cookies and muffins and it does make me feel better.

So home office women do have their moments of depression and they just wanna take a step back and do their favourite things. I will feel better soon and for now, I’ll just continue to get over the setbacks of yesterday.
