The talk and discussion on eco friendliness is becoming common in our home lives and work lives. In our home office, we do our best to observe a green environment by following some simple principles.

I’m planning to buy a new adjustable home office desk and chair made of eco friendly materials. We have been checking out some articles, references and even a green study too see how we can do our part in small and big ways. In our home office, we have a tray of recycled paper which we used for scribbles and test prints. If possible, we avoid printing out any documents and prefer to send them electronically. Not only do we save on paper stock, we are encouraging more of our associates and friends to use less paper too.

It’s Sunday today and it’s a day of break from the office. We are half way with our packing and everything is looking good at the moment. What I need is a good rest and some extra sleep and I’ll be well on my way for a good week!

Many of us know that a good posture is important for our spine health. Yet, we don’t pay much attention to sitting upright and getting our computer at the right eye level when we are working in the home office.

The most important part of a home office is usually the computer desk furniture because that is where most of your time will be spent so it needs to fit your needs as closely as possible. Computer desk furniture has to do a lot of things to be truly useful to a user.

The furniture you use in your office each day needs to be ergonomically friendly or you can find yourself in a lot of pain within just a few short weeks. This is what I’m experiencing and I can’t wait to get a new table for our home office. So the desk itself should be of the right height and used with a chair that will let you sit correctly and comfortably to make sure muscle problems do not occur. Many people suffer from recurring pain because of an ill-fitted chair or desk. It’s important to correct this if it’s presenting a problem. The next thing I need to look into is to change the low voltage deck lighting
for my basement too!

Computer desk furniture is more than just the desk and the chair, it’s about the keyboard and mouse and even the stackable trays you have to have to keep yourself organized. If things like stackable trays or paper clip holders are not considered to be part of your computer desk furniture, there is a chance you will overlook some of it and end up compromising the best experience you can have in your new home office.
