We just got a call from our insurance agent reminding us that our home insurance premium is due. Some people wonder why we need home insurance for but I suppose it’s for protection purpose especially when we have a home office. As for life insurance, I have arranged for it to be deducted monthly from my bank account so that saves the trouble of mailing a check on a monthly basis. With online banking, lots of time is saved since I don’t need to queue in the bank or waste time on traffic and to be on the road. DH is still shopping for cheap car insurance since he’s responsible of the renewal yearly. Come to think about it, insurance seems like a good home business, isn’t it?

The last weekend was spent on checking out some cruises in Hawaii and it looked like there wouldn’t be much choice for us. It was rather insightful looking at all the big cruise liners which specialize in all sorts of cruises including Celebrity Cruise, Carnival Cruise, Princess Cruise and much more. It looked as if we have only the Norwegian Cruise line to consider since we need to depart from Honolulu. I strongly believe that cruise liners like the NCL has a comprehensive boat insurance since it serves millions of passengers in a year. Regardless of how big the cruise liner or fleet is, it is vital to be covered with good policies that include third party coverage. Besides, it is convenient to get an online quote with the super internet technology age we are living in. If you are a boat owner, Cover my travels website allows you to choose your boat and decide on the insurance option you prefer. With all these convenience and complete information on the website, there is no excuse not to be covered. Don’t you agree?

I believe most of us have bought some form of insurance – home insurance, medical, personal accident, car insurance, whole life insurance, travel insurance, education insurance…etc. I used that insurance was a waste of money. That was the time when I was starting out in my career and wan’t willing to commit myself to any premium. Whenever an insurance agent tried to make a sales pitch, I would tell them that ‘nothing would happen to me, thus, I didn’t need any insurance’. But the truth was I changed my mind when I grew older. I began to realize that life is so fragile and buying insurance is not only for my protection but for my welfare of my family members. It’s knowing that they can be taken care of should anything happen to me. It is not about me but the people I love and care about.
I’m not selling any insurance here
It’s just a thought for the day.
