It has been a stressful week for me. We have been busy on the phone and preparing sales letters to potential customers for our upcoming event in April. Besides rushing to get all the work done before Clayton returns from school, I still need to fulfill my parenting and home duties. Then, I had to travel back to Singapore for an important appointment for 2 days.

When it comes to relieving stress, there are many options. You should always eat right. Eat three meals daily, or five if you eat light. Avoiding substances or chemicals that stress the nerves: If you rely on caffeine pills sold on the market, stop using them now. You are only damaging your heart, body and mind.

So eating right will help. Exercising will help a lot. When your stress go for a walk and take it out on the way you walk or maybe you want to ride a bike that’s all good but you also need to excise on a regular base as well take 30 minutes out of your busy day to do something for you will feel better in the long run.

Tip:

Laughter is a great way to start feeling better about your self; the more you smile and laugh, you will find your self doing it all the time.

“Most people don’t recognize opportunity when it comes, because it’s usually dressed in overalls and looks a lot like work.” ~Thomas Edison

Life is short,
Break the rules,
Forgive quickly,
Kiss slowly,
Love truly,
Laugh uncontrollably,
And never regret anything that made you smile.

Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. ~ Leo Buscaglia

Sometimes we get too busy that we forget to appreciate what we have and the people closest to us. We often take things for granted and miss out on the simple things of life like offering a compliment, throwing a hug and showing a kind thought. The quote today reminds me how I can play a part in someone’s life today in doing the least but most meaningful thing… may you take time to make a difference.

There is in every true woman’s heart a spark not heavenly fire, which lies dormant in the broad daylight of prosperity; but which kindles up, and beams and blazes in the dark hour of adversity. ~ Washington Irving

The above quote reminded me of my aunt whom I met the other day during a family get together. I had a chat with her and was touched by her strength even after many bouts of adversities. Her teenage son has been in and out of the drug rehabilitation in the last ten years and she is still holding on to the glimpse of hope that he will get on his feet again. With her fervent hope, I believe she will continue to shine bright during those days of despondency.

May you continue to hold on to your glimpse of hope in life - wishing everyone a week filled with strength and hope.
