“Everybody can be great… because anybody can serve. You don’t have to have a college degree to serve. You don’t have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace, a soul generated by love.” ~ Martin Luther King, Jr.
It’s another busy, eventful and good week. Before moving into the next, I ponder on ‘Greatness’ which is often misunderstood by many to be something profound or something achievable only by those who are knowledgeable and educated but it is not. The above says it all – all you need is a HEART full of grace and love. In other words, everyone of us can practice the art greatness in our lives, are you ready?

My week ended with a dilemma for a situation we are facing with our Singapore office. This new business is experiencing teething problems with a morale issue that needs to be worked on. On some days, I felt like waving the white flad and on others, I was more positive in working things out. I realized that how I felt was affected largely by my attitude. The circumstances may remain the same but my attitude determined the difference. Here’s a quote by Charles Swindoll that I’ll like to leave with you…
“The remarkable thing we have is a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past… We cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. “

I haven’t posted Sunday Quote of the Day for a couple of weeks. While this is a week of activities and happenings, I discover that enthusiasm is the key ingredient to getting things done fast and effectively. No matter what we do – leisure, personal or work – we find ourselves lacking of motivation if enthusiasm is not present. I’ll like to leave you the quote by Normam Vincent Peale…
“Those who are fired with an enthusiastic idea and who allow it to take hold and dominate their thoughts find that new worlds open for them. As long as enthusiasm holds out, so will new opportunities.”
