The last weekend had been a busy one as I had to take my son to a birthday party before heading home for some yard clearing work. I don’t work at home on the weekends so it’s good to spend some quality time with little junior.
The next weeks will see more birthday parties coming up and I have an invitation to a friend’s daughter party and it’s going to be a pool party. I was checking the web for a 20th birthday gift and the options are endless! Since I haven’t had a daughter, it’s hard to choose the right one. I can’t really remember what I liked at 20! Looks like I need to consult parents with daughters or search the web for some ideas too.
Isn’t it great that the web has answers to lots of things. There is endless amount of resources available at our fingertips and I’m just so glad that we are living in such an exciting era!

The home office has been a little quiet since DH left for Asia. I have been busy and that’s because I’m doing all the school and activity runs throughout the week. I didn’t it’s so tiring doing it myself… I can’t wait for him to resume some chauffeur duties!
Christmas is around the corner and I would need to do up my Christmas gift list soon. There’s alot to do since we are moving in January and the more immediate thing is to pack. Perhaps I should list down some gifts for the family members first then comes friends and all. I was thinking about getting a pair of ray-ban sunglasses for DH as he tends to drive without one. The summer’s heat will get more intense down under so I do want him to protect his eyes and be sun smart.
At least I had thought of his gift so that’s one down. Next will be my son and then moving on to my close family members. I love the Christmas spirit… don’t you?

Since a visit to a lovely family’s house few months ago, our family has been sitting in front of the television almost every night. We have been enjoying Masterchef Season 3 as a family and this is the kind of break we take from our home office business. I take the effort to stay out of the home office when my son comes home and I like it that way.
Tomorrow is friday. I’ll be having lunch with my work at home hubby in Sunnybank and we love eating in our favourite restaurant, Maru. I need to buy a couple of funny tee shirts for little junior to bring to school for a project. Then we need to do some grocery shopping. Tonight, our favourite contestant, Hayden Quinn was booted out of the Masterchef kitchen and we weren’t very happy. This entire show is showing so much favouritism and people who don’t deserve to be in top 5 are already in there! How sad! I personally don’t think the judging criteria was fair at all when the blue team lost to the red team who had equally showed some flaws. I have to keep reminding myself that it’s just a show!
So Hayden Quinn is out… I think it’s a blessing in disguise for him. After all, you don’t need to be a masterchef winner to make it big!
