School has begun for my grade 2 and it’s quite a relief for me. Though I have to wake up early to prepare morning tea, I like the fact that he’s getting into his routine again. This year, we are thinking on sending him to music classes. We have yet to finalize anything but it would be good if he picks up an instrument. I personally think the electric cello is nice but it’s all up to him. Violin or keyboard is nice too but we want to make sure that he’s passionate in the instrument and subject. Hopefully he finds pleasure in learning the instrument for a few years and that can contribute a large part in stimulating his creative cells!

It’s now getting in the routine for us who works at home… I’m sure glad we had moved!

It’s also been a very busy month as we had just moved to a new house. The unpacking and reorganizing is no fun and it’s such a big task! After a week of settling in, I’ve finally unpacked all our stuff and it’s left with a lawn that needs mowing. I promise my boy that I would get him one of those kids switchplate covers for his room and I would need to do up his room so that he feels more comfortable.

Though it’s a big job moving from a townhouse to a house, I’m glad we did it anyway. Now, I can’t wait to buy our own house so that I don’t have to start all over again!

We had a good break in Asia and it was just nice relaxing, chilling out, meeting up with family and friends. We did a beach holiday with some friends and it was great exploring places and having fun under the sun. I was just glad we joined roadside assistance club before our trip as our rental vehicle broke down at some point.

Now that our holidays had ended, it’s time to sit down and get back to real work. It’s quite hard getting back to the routine, waking up early, preparing lunch boxes and stuff, but I’m just glad that I can have some personal time and space after eight weeks of babysitting!

We are listing down a list of things to do for our home office and one of the tasks that call for our attention is to replace some office furniture. Hubby and myself agree that we need new storage boxes as the ones we had were broken, cracked and unfit for our use. Christmas bells are ringing and this year, I will be celebrating it with my close friends and family. I have no need of anything so I don’t think I would need to shop anything for myself. Maybe I should save up to get a kitchenaid dishwasher for our new place but that should be hubby’s job! I am thinking about a new sporty looking watch but I’m asking myself if I need a watch.

We are taking a long break from the home office and when we returned, we will be setting up a new one in the new place. It’s been an eventful and busy year and I’m gearing myself up for another exciting 2012.
