moon sand helps to encourage creativity
It was exciting for me when Clayton first got his hands on a Play Doh baking set. I found it a wonderful way to bond with him and learn together, you will be surprised that kneading Play Doh can be therapeutic for adults too! But after a few occasions of leaving the coloured dough uncovered, they hardened and it was too messy to soften it again.
While checking out on some children’s modelling kits, I came across Moon Sand, a unique sand that kneads just like dough, except that it doesn’t dry out and can be used again and again. It can be baked, kneaded, sculpted, carved and painted. I’m working on my imagination on its texture as the description says that it is molded like wet sand but it’s not wet at all! Most of all, it’s absolutely non-toxic, gluten and allergy free. You can choose from the wide range of moon sand kits on the website, as well as other moon sand accessories. I believe sculpting moon sand is one great way to encourage creativity and imagination in a child as they explore on creating a piece of personal art on their own.
