It took me a few days before I accepted the news that we have to move in two months’ time. It wasn’t an easy decision as I was already settling in and in fact, I was all ready to take a break from my home office and head back to Asia for a long vacation.

Moving house is alot of work for me and I can imagine the amount of time on packing and unpacking. We had just booked ourselves to a Thailand getaway and a shopping trip to Hong Kong. So that would be something I can look forward to. I can’t wait for those private cooking and baking classes I had booked myself in. This is what I like to do when I’m on a break. Back to looking for a house, we need one with a home office or a study for the least. Working at home has worked very well for us both and DH enjoyed learning all the online marketing stuff in his own space. I, on the other hand, like working at home and shopping online The other day, I was even planning to buy an Electric Airsoft Guns for DH… I thought it would be a great gift idea!

This week will be house hunting and house inspections and I seriously can’t wait to find the ‘right’ house for us.

Many households have both parents working in our modern day. It is common for kids to come home from school to a empty house. It is no wonder why many women like to consider working from home.

The weekends is here and I’m thinking of taking my son to shop for backpacks for kids since he needs a new bag for school. Then we are thinking of watching a movie together and that’s something he looks forward to. With Christmas only slightly more than two months away, it’s time to shop for gifts for friends and family.

These days even if everyone is home, you can still be feel apart or separated from each other. There are so many electronic gadgets to keep everyone busy by themselves. Let’s see what we have. Cell phones, gaming computers, laptops, ipods, mp3 players, video games, 200 plus channels on T.V., etc., etc. I feel bad when I occupy my son with stuff like that too. All the things on the web that will keep you busy like blogging, chat rooms, my space, and so on. There are so many things one can do to entertain themselves without the family. Most of these things can be addictive. People can become strangers in their own family. Therefore, it is our responsibility as parents to organize activities that keep the family together.

Since it only takes one family member to get the ball rolling, you might as well do your part. If your family is not as close as it should be, you could be the one to change it.

It has to be hard for many work at home moms to lay aside their heavy workload when the weekends is here. This is hard because the home office is just a few steps in and out the house and it’s tempting to stay away from it!

This has been a terribly busy week for me. I was busy in a good way. It wasn’t so much of work in the home office but I was acquiring some new cooking skills with a couple of wonderful ladies. These ladies used to hold jobs in the past but due to parenting, they have decided to become home ministers One of them used to be hold one of those Network Installer Jobs where stress levels can be intense when datelines is near. She finds it more fulfilling being a full time mom now.

I like the fact that I can work from home and still learn domestic stuff as I do enjoy baking and cooking more as the day goes by. The truth is, baking can be a work at home job too for some talented moms, though I don’t think I would be opting this path
