Home office women are often busy with two things – parenting and work and if you have no kids or if your kids have grown up, it would be errands and work.
I just got back from my Asia vacations and finally settled back in the home office. There are lots to be done as we prepare for our move in two and half months time. I miss catching up with my close friends over in Singapore and only wish I have more time to spend at ‘home’. Though I’ve lived overseas for almost 11 years, I always like my home town and reckon it’s the best in Asia!
In a month’s time, I’ll be meeting a close friend who lives in Kota Kinabalu and she’s been busy tailoring prom dresses for her teengage daughter. We have come a long way and she too used to be a work at home mom who had a fashion design studio. I miss her dresses and tailoring!
With more time in the home office, I’m clearing some back log work and I would need to start packing up for the move.

Just when I thought I could take a break from my computer and continue my packing for our trip to hanoi tomorrow, I have to finish some last minute assignments. This is what you do when you work from home… you hardly take a break – I mean a full break, that is.
Today, we just ordered our furniture direct from the factory and managed to save quite abit as we were told that furniture down under can be costly. We are glad to get a wholesale distributor contact from our good friend and with that savings, we can buy our electrical goods in Oz. In less than three months, we’ll have a new home office in Oz and I’m glad to have new home office furniture too. I’m looking at the ones at Kids2youth from taiwan as the ones at MOLL are too costly. There’s a big price difference between taiwan made products and Germany ones. I’m just happy that I can have my adjustable table and chair at last!
Then there’s the real packing to do when I return from hanoi. That’s the cool part about working at home – you can multi task and get things done fast and efficiently! That’s it for now and I’d better be off to doing my last minute research on Hanoi!

Both hubby and myself have been discussing how we can be more productive in our internet business. Currently we operate from our home office and lately, it’s been a series of disruptions to our work schedule. One of the things discussed is the consideration of outsourcing for some of our work.
No matter what sort of internet business you are involved in, whether it’s just blogging, affiliate stores or other forms of monetization, you need to dedicate time and efforts towards your tasks. Hubby is all geared to launch his video marketing project but he’s been tied down with lots of other responsibilities from family and external factors. As for me, parenting takes up much of my time as a work at home mom. Plus, there is much to be done in prep for our move in December. I was planning to start some review sites this year but I just didn’t have the time to get started. While reading some prenexa reviews, I was reminded of what is left outstanding on my online business plate.
As we map out our plans for our home business, we would be taking a short break in the next few days with some friends. Hopefully our goals are clarified as we relax and unwind under the great blue sky and the sounds of sweeping waves.
