I’m not one of those who love to attend social functions though my friends tend to perceive me as a very sociable work at home mom! Last week, I received an invitation to a beauty tea party by La Mer. The objective of the invite is to ‘welcome’ and greet the new customers of La Mer. Out of curiosity, I responded to be present at the tea party.
Nowadays, retail companies are focusing on relationship selling and this is effective with certain niche or exclusive products where the customer base is more targeted. I suppose that’s why you can find online retailers launching niche groups such as wine of the month clubs or beauty discussion groups where likeminded individuals can meet and learn from each other. Whether it’s an offline or online product, companies have to be innovation in the marketing and advertising efforts in this modern age.
