Parenting has been extremely challenging for me lately. For many work at home moms, our time management is crucial to ensure a productive day as we balance between work and our family life. But when our children get fussy and cranky, it can disturb more than just our work, it can take a toll on us emotionally, mentally and even physically.

I’m one work at home mom who believes that we should take time to care for our physical health. I know that some of my friends have a gym to go to for a good workout before heading back to their home office. I look forward to my Pilates class every week where I can take a break off work and do something for my body. As I improve on my breathing and muscular movements, I feel confident and upbeat about work and life. I feel mentally stronger and alert as I embark on a hectic schedule of any work at home mom.

This afternoon, I have to take some time to settle some home matters including getting a broken fan fixed and an insurance quote for the family. When you work at home, it’s important to make sure everything at home works fine and dandy. Hopefully the challenges I face can ease off as the weekends draw nigh. It looks like I need more sleep and abit outdoor activities and I sure hope the weather improves by then.

Your Plan To Work At Home 0

Two weeks ago, I was pleasantly surprised when I saw a surge in my affiliate earnings in one of the networks. It was such a thrill for any work at home mom to see an upsurge in your affiliate earnings, isn’t it? I mean you set up your niche sites, work on it for a while and sometimes, you wonder when you will start to earn real money from home.

Before you embark on your home business journey and work your way towards earning money from home, you would need to start a niche website. For that, you will need a domain name. Most people think their company name is the best way to go when choosing a domain name. The SEO expert will say otherwise. A domain name with keywords associated to your product or service you are marketing will be more effective better. Some people will register the company name as a domain name and point it to the website with better keywords, but it is not necessary. A domain name with related keywords can help you with search engine traffic. You need to find a good domain name registrar as that can make or break your home business. For instance, if you are an auto company promoting extended service plan, then you want to have some of the related keywords to help with your search engine optimization.

Next comes a reliable web hosting service. Again, cheaper is not better. There are good hosting services for $100 per year and there are also many cheap ones. When it’s too cheap, you need to be careful about it as cheap doesn’t mean good. Anyone that is offering you hosting for less than $80 a year should raise a red flag. Choose a good one if you are committed to your plan to work at home.

Now, you have your domain name and the hosting for your new website, but how do you go about with creating a website? You can learn html and build your own if you are tech savvy work at home mom. You can use a WYSIWYG editor like FrontPage to build your own website. But seriously, if you know that isn’t your strength, invest some money and hire someone to build your website for you. You are better of using your strengths and skills in other areas instead of wasting months trying to design your own website.

Family Time Ideas for Work at Home Parents 0

Taking the entire family out for an evening of fun can be exciting and something all work at home parents want to do on a regular basis. However, going out costs money and frequently it can cost more than the average family can afford. So, if you want to enjoy an evening with your family you have to think about where you can really enjoy some family bonding while saving money at the same time.

One of the things we enjoy as a family without spending too much money is to do a barbeque in the patio. We would buy meats and drinks during promotional days, turn on the Barbeque, put out some patio cushions and relax for a good family meal. Usually we spend the night playing board games or chatting over chips and juices. It is nice doing simple things like that.

Since all kids love to go to the park, this is one place to go without spending any money. Your kids will love playing on the monkey bars and merry go rounds and you as work at home parents will enjoy some family time and fresh air. Then, head to your local ice cream parlor and have a cone of your favorite flavor or buy a gallon of ice cream to enjoy at home.
