Work at Home Moms Winding Down Comments Off

Posted on December 11, 2010 by dc

The weekends is here again and what more, Christmas bells are ringing in every corner. This is the time where many work at home moms take a break cos the kids are on holidays and it’s just the right time to wind down too.

We have finally made our big move to Australia and it’s our second day in the city of Brisbane. Though we are staying in a serviced apartment, we are already flipping through magazines on outdoor spaces for the new house. I’ve been so busy the last few weeks that I believe I won’t need to lose any weight at all. My Lipofuze
will be put on hold as I get busy with all the errands done.

Coming back to outdoor spaces, it can be fully used as another room when entertaining a few guests or as an evening getaway for family time. To be a real room, the outdoor area must function at dusk or at night as well as it does in daylight. To add to the function of the outdoor room in the dusk and evening hours, lighting must be considered. By night, outdoor living and dining spaces can be engaging and romantic.

The space is created into a quiet room where conversation or good dining holds great significance. Low-level lighting in outdoor living and dining rooms is preferred. The outdoor space becomes a real living room when illuminated by the soft flicker of candlelight, lanterns, or by beautiful outdoor lamps.

Instead of a single light source at night, the outdoor space can have any different types of lighting placed at various heights. New outdoor lamps are weatherproof and weighted meaning the outdoor room can be a cozy, evening gathering spot. The outdoor room, above all, is deemed a romantic destination in the home come nightfall, and it’s lighting most often reflects that.

So if home improvement isn’t what you are working on, then it’s time to ring those Christmas bells at home too!

A Break for the Work at Home Mom Comments Off

All women deserve to pamper herself every now and then, even if you work from a home office. Sometimes people think that we who work from home don’t need a break since we are in the comforts of our own home. But you and I agree that working from a home office means we are toggling between work, parenting and home affairs – it sure is alot of work!

Yesterday I decided to take a day off from everything and head down to town. I was planning to get some beauty stock ups before I leave and drop by the Fendi shop for a short while. It’s nice to just walk about by myself and get my head off those stresses and worries. A little time spent alone can be therapeutic amidst the busy schedule for any work at home women, who are often tired and overwhelmed by everyday chores.

It’s going to be a mad house here the next few days before the movers come. More updates on our big move later on…

Improving Your Online Business From Home Comments Off

There are many things to think about when it comes to starting your online business from home. Whether you are a newbie or veteran, online business brings lots of potential for business growth when you put in the right efforts. You can be working from home or not and the basic principles remain the same.

Some people like to have many smaller sites to generate business. They like that because they have no other content and it will focus concentration on the message. If necessary, hire someone to do the writing for you. A well written sales letter will pay for itself many times over. If you decide to change your sales letter, be sure to keep copies for reference along the way. This way you can compare against older letters to see what gets better results. Whether you are marketing a metal building business or a gift product, crafting a sales letter requires you to first understand your target audience.

If you want to reach potential customers, try a direct mailing. You can do this by sending postcards. Many people like to be contacted by way of mail. If you send anything by way of email it runs the risk of being overlooked. Although going online is a popular way to reach people, it isnít the only way. There is a big world outside of the internet. If used effectively, you can get many people to read your message.
