When you are setting up a home office, there are some essentials you need to look into other than computers, tables, chairs and shelves. One of the things that many work at home women don’t take it seriously would be buying a air purifier into the office.

Over the years, air purifiers have become an essential component in many households today. Home air purifiers filter out allergy-provoking substances, such as dust mites, chemical and organic odors, pet dander and plant pollen. These devices are especially good when a person has a suppressed immune system and is more susceptible to infections. Itís a proven fact that home air purifiers help in such medical conditions as allergy, asthma, and hay fever.

A home air purifier draws in air, filters out the dust, pollen, bacteria and scent molecules, and then emits the clean scentless air into the room. The air would not be completely pure and sanitized, but it would contain significantly less dust particles and allergens.

There are several types of filters used in home office air purifiers. Filters with added activated carbon – similar to the one used to treat food poisoning – serve as pre-filter, which captures large particles. Then, HEPA filter absorbs small particles. Some purifiers add a natural organic filter that neutralizes volatile compounds from household chemicals or smoke.

So the next time you set up the home office or home, don’t just be too overwhelmed with decorations or putting in your favourite glass mosaic tile on the wall. Consider the air quality as you will be spending lots of time in your office!

Going to Have a Home Office Down Under Comments Off

When you work at home, it is pretty common that there is a corner in your house where there are more things and clutter. DH and myself have been spending at least one hour a day packing and clearing our home office. We are amazed at how much junk we accumulated over the years!

This teaches us that we should do a regular spring cleaning in our new home office so as to avoid this mess. We had so much to throw out and I felt good seeing that the office is looking brighter and more spacious! Due to the move preparation, I am having some breakouts on my face and I’m feeling sleep deprived. I just can’t wait to move and resettled in a new place! I’m glad I have my favourite tea tree oil for acne and I’m also trying to find time for a good facial therapy.

I’m just thankful that I can still be a work at home mom when we move down under and we can even reduce our personal tax with our home office expenses. This means we need to find a bigger house so that we can allocate a generous for hubby and myself to continue our internet business at home. I’m really looking forward to that!

Working In the Home Office Comments Off

Some think that there is no stress working in the home office but those who have working from home know that this is not true at all. We moms are especially stressed out when our children are not eating well or listening well to our instructions. And that spells stress!

I’ll be very busy with packing starting from today onwards. In fact, I’ve already started to do some but I know I need to speed up. First of all, I need to throw out the clutter and there’s lots to throw in this home office. After working at home for seven years, we’ve accumulated alot of things and it’s time to put them away. I can’t wait to get rid of my old table and chair which have been giving me some back problems. I’m already decided on an adjustable and chair for the new home office.

Hubby is outstationed and I’ll be busier. When he’s around, there’s someone to keep an eye on my boy when he’s alone upstairs but with hubby’s absence, I would be more tied down. My son’s birthday is coming up and I haven’t even sent out the invitations! With the amount of stress levels surmounting, I might need to find acne products that work! They say that pimples can be caused by stress!

It’s friday tomorrow and I’m actually looking forward to the weekends. Then again, weekends is a busy time as I need to play chauffeur to the boy for his music, gym and chess classes. It will be some time before I can take a break again – sigh!
